Bittersweet Symphony Part 1

It's very interesting to watch someone intentionally harm themselves.
I don't mean attempt suicide.  I mean, to say out loud "yes, I want this" and then cower as they walk towards their goal.
I mean Self Sabotage.

The World English Dictionary defines Sabotage:  "to destroy, damage, or disrupt, esp by secret means"
The most telling part is the explanation of the word's origin:
"from French, from saboter  to spoil through clumsiness."
WOW. 
Clumsy indeed.

Fascinating still, is how aware I've become of this behavior all around me.
How many times have we opened a door, only to quickly push it closed?
How many times have we begged for a "sign" and ignored our answered prayers?
I mean.  I'm just sayin'
