I don't mean a hot bath, or a massage, or even yoga.
(God knows I could use all three)
While I maintain working 2 jobs and not being bored has kept me young, what I wouldn't give to paint, color, take pictures, or walk in the rain.
Julia Cameron is a HUGE advocate of such "play."
A time to reconnect with your inner child, if only for an hour - one day a week.
Artist's Dates, she calls them, mentioned MANY times in her life-changing book, "The Artist's Way."
The ironic thing about it all is, with my mind (and body) racing ALL the time...I actually feel more creative.
The obstacle now is to set aside some time to recoup and let it flow.
With some much needed time off headed my way, I intend to do just that.
